He enjoyed playing bass guitar in the band “Dominion” in his teenage years. He later moved to Missouri, and became an employee for Ozark School District. He also worked at Silver Dollar City. Jim was preceded in death by his father; his stepmother, Lori; and good friend, David Eakins, with whom he worked at both Silver Dollar City and Ozark School District. Jim enjoyed a great steak, building model planes, fishing, and rock music. His favorite bands were Rush and Iron Maiden. Jim liked watching television shows like “Columbo” and “Saturday Night Live” and playing PlayStation and Xbox. Jim was also a huge hockey fan of the L.A. Kings and St. Louis Blues. He always loved a good cup of coffee. A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Dennis Faught officiating. Jim was by far one of the best staff members at the junior high. He was always trying to make people laugh. We had our own handshake that we would do every day and even when I started going to school at the highschool I would make sure that everytime I was at the junior high, that I got to talk to him. We will miss you Jim.

He was always able to put a smile on my face and I appreciated him for being able to be one of few people who could tell me and my twin apart. He was one of my favorite people to go to every morning to just chat. It's not gonna be the same without him. - Kyrstyn Nation
