Janette Ruth Carter

Oct 15, 1957 — Nov 3, 2026

Nixa, Missouri

Janette Ruth Carter, 69, was born on October 15, 1957, in Dallas, Oregon, to Joe and Ruth Carter. She passed away on November 3, 2026.

The daughter of a carpenter, Janette and her family moved frequently as her father followed work opportunities. In 1966, they eventually settled in Missouri, her father's home state, where Janette would make her home. She graduated from Nixa High School and went on to work a variety of jobs throughout her life, including working as a waitress, volunteering at the Literacy Center, working at The Arc of the Ozarks, and driving a cab.

In 1980, Janette became a mother. As a single mother, she worked hard to provide for her family and make a good life for those she loved.

For the past 15 years, Janette dedicated much of her time to serving Geoffrey and Lori Grider at Now The End Begins Ministries. She volunteered countless hours transcribing live broadcast shows and answering questions as an administrator in the ministry's online chats. Her dedication and willingness to help others were a reflection of the generous spirit she carried throughout her life.

Janette had a remarkable talent for improvisation and could always find a way to make things work. She enjoyed crafting and creating special things for the people she loved. One particularly meaningful creation was a beautiful family tree made of wire, with each family member represented by their own leaf. It was a thoughtful expression of how much her family meant to her. She also had a gift for organizing and finding order in the things around her.

Janette will be remembered for her resourcefulness, her creativity, and her hard work. The things she made, the time she gave, and the memories she leaves behind will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Edward) Steward; grandchildren, Cheyanne Tuck, Greyson Tuck, Toni (Deon) Lentz, and Joseph Steward; great-grandchildren, Yameena and Deon; siblings, Kenneth (Connie) Carter, Kathryn (Robert) Heald, and Danelle (Brian) LeeMasters; and her father, Joe Carter.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Carter, and her nephew, Nathan Fisher, and her uncles Howard Jr. Carter and Jerry Carter.

The family is planning a memorial gathering at Calvary Bible Church in Nixa, Missouri at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, and cremation rites are accorded by Adams Crematory.
