James Harold Williams

James “Jim” H. Williams (83), a faithful husband and loving father passed away on Saturday, September 18th, at 7:07 p.m. at his home. James was born on October 28th, 1937, in Richland Missouri to Eva “Blanche” (Yadon) Williams and John Harold Williams. James was one of 8 children born to this unity and spent most of his childhood in the Richland/Lebanon Missouri area. James was baptized as a young child and rededicated his life to Christ in his final days. James enlisted in the United States Air Force in February 1957, training at Lowry Air Force Base in Dillon, Colorado before being stationed at Whiteman AFB until his honorable discharge in May 1960. James married his childhood sweetheart, Margaret E. Piercy on March 22nd, 1958, where they celebrated 63 wonderful years together. Of this unity 4 children were born, including Trina Sue Williams, Cynthia Ann Williams, Tammy Lynne (Williams) Sales, and James Harold Williams II. Following his discharge from the United States Air Force, James started his employment at Dayco/Carlisle Transportation Products in Springfield, Missouri, in June 1960, where he remained until his retirement in 2001. Throughout his 41 years with Dayco, James held several positions, finishing his career in Fort Scott Kansas. During his employment, James formed lifelong friendships with those he worked with, which remained until his death. James’ hobbies included a love for golf, and he actively met his “retirement family” whenever time and health would allow. He also passed his passion for the game to his grandsons. James loved traveling with his beloved wife and family, to destinations that always included the ocean. Most importantly, James loved spending time with his family. James was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche Williams and John Williams; daughter, Trina Sue Williams; and great granddaughter, Emma F. Bright; sisters Joy, Wanda, Bonnie, Rosetta, Roberta; and brother David. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen Williams of the home in Republic, Missouri; sister Deanna Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Cynthia A. Williams of Nixa, Missouri; daughter Tammy L. Sales and her husband Jon of Nixa, Missouri; son James H. Williams II of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Scott F. Paine and his wife Kristy Paine of Seymour, Missouri; Brittney N. Shryer and her husband Brad Shryer of Mesa, Arizona; Jonathan A. Sales and his wife Madison Sales of Springfield, Missouri; Ethan C. Sales and his wife Lianna Sales of Nixa, Missouri; Kiefer A. Williams of Portland, Oregon; Montana S. Bright and her husband Jordan Bright of Kansas City, Missouri; Katrina M. Willams and her partner Biz Anderson of Los Angeles, California; Seamus A. Williams of Springfield, Missouri; Aidan T. Williams of Springfield, Missouri; and 6 great grandchildren, Adalyn Paine, Dylan Paine, Olivia Sales, Ava Shryer, Billie Shryer, and Bailey Sales. James was loved by a host of extended family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. James’ celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, located at 109 N Truman Blvd, Nixa Missouri with full military honors at 11:30 a.m. Burial services in Richwood Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in remembrance of his daughter, Trina Sue Williams.
