William "Bill" Burl Woodson

Mr. William "Bill"� Burl Woodson, age 60, of Nixa, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born October 26, 1950 in Alva, Oklahoma the son of Deverle and Sofie (Reichl) Woodson. On February 14, 1987 Bill and Brenda (Amos) Woodson were united in marriage. Bill graduated from Alva High School Class in 1969 and served his country in the United States Navy. Bill worked as a repair technician for Cook"�s Appliance in Nixa. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include: His wife, Brenda Woodson, Nixa; his mother and stepfather, Sofie and Clayton Thompson, Norman, Oklahoma; four children; Heather (Woodson) and George Wilson, Indianapolis, Indiana James Woodson, Jacksonville, Florida, Kenny Woodson, Nixa, and Sophia Woodson, Nixa; his brother, David Woodson and wife Tricia, Portland, Oregon; his stepbrother, C.B. Thompson and wife Marilynn, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; one sister, Cladean Chism and husband Mark, Palmer, Nebraska; one grandson; Eli Aaron Wilson and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Deverle Swayhart Woodson and an infant sister, Eva Marie Woodson. Graveside services with full military honors will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with Reverend James Amos officiating under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri
