Virginia "Gina" Wilson

Virginia June “Gina” Wilson, age 47, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022.  She was born September 24, 1975, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Billie Jo Heldenbrand Wilson and Martin Gilmore Wilson Jr.  She was a member of the Ozark High School graduating class of 1993. 

Gina spent much of her time in Southeast Missouri, and also lived in Oregon.  She often worked in food service.  She had an interest in her American Indian heritage, and was proud to pursue that interest.

Above all, Gina loved her family.  Her children were her most important part of her life.  She had returned to this area recently to help care for family members. 

Survivors include:  four children, Valentin Vela and wife Alexus, Virginio Vela, Vance Vela, and Anthony Ray Burnham; a grandson Valentin Sebastian Vela; and her mother, Billie Jo Wilson. She was also loved by her 14 brothers and sisters.

The family will gather privately to celebrate Gina’s life and homegoing. 

Cremation was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, and Adams Crematory.
