Troy A. Tyre

"Accept what comes from silence.

Make the best you can of it.

Of the little words that come

out of the silence, like prayers

prayed back to the one who prays,

make a poem that does not disturb

the silence from which it came."

– Wendell Berry

On April 9, 2022, Dr. Troy A. Tyre passed away, unexpectedly at his home in Missouri. Troy was 58 years old.

Troy is survived by his wife Barbara Jacobs Tyre, his mother Carol Slick-Tyre, his children, Chris Tyre, Amanda Tyre, Makayla Jacobs, Preston Foreman, Ambermarie Foreman Stein, Brooks Foreman, Ayla Foreman (custodial granddaughter,) and Tara Tyre Crone, siblings, Cheri Tyre-Roberts (Gordon), Randy (Angela), Cory (Alicia), many grandchildren, cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

Troy is preceded in death by his Father Alfred Richard Tyre.

Troy was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a student athlete at Terry Parker High School. He joined the Marines on his 17th birthday with only a GED in hand and went to boot camp at Paris Island. He retired after a full career as a highly decorated "Mustang" Major. He earned his Doctorate and continued service to his country by using his experience as a leader to guide several military associated businesses. He loved his job as President of Proposal Helper and Bid Execs.

Troy was thought of as a "Marines Marine." He loved and was loved by his military family.

Troy was always proud to talk about his children and their accomplishments, his wife Barb and her business adventures and their animals. He loved being at his home taking care of the horses, dogs, chickens and literally whatever wandered up, animal or human. He was happy working on his tractor, baling hay, moving horses between pastures and working hard.  Troy loved having the grandchildren around to help him on the property and teach them how to do things.  He had fully converted from Marine uniform to cowboy hat and boots and was happy.   He was the family rock.

A military memorial and graveside ceremony are being planned at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington,

A service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.  Cremation rites have been accorded by Adams Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Troy's memory to Barbara Tyre.
