Springfield

Tom Alexander, age 43, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 8, 2025. Born to Thomas and Elaine (Daniels) Alexander on December 8, 1981, Tom grew up in Chicago, Illinois, until middle school, when his family moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. He graduated from Mountain Home High School, Class of 2000.

It was in high school that he met his high school sweetheart, Kandice Mell. Their love story began when Tom passed a note to Kandice during a Mock Congress Day event, and they started dating March 11, 1997. They were married on November 27, 2004, and shared a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to each other and their son, T.J.

Tom was an avid sports fan, especially of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bulls. He loved tailgating at Chiefs games with his family and enjoyed singing along to country music. He also was a talented bowler, competing at the collegiate level at Missouri State University.

A man of faith, Tom attended Wesley United Methodist Church for the last three years. He was known for his generous spirit, always ready to help anyone in need, whether with financial support or a simple act of kindness. His career in corporate sales and as a Subway manager showed his natural gift for customer service, and he was loved by his staff and customers alike. He had a unique ability to make people feel valued, loved, and nurtured, and his leadership inspired those around him. Tom was also an exceptional son who took great care of his parents, always putting their needs before his own.

Tom was a loving father to his son, T.J., and enjoyed spending time with him playing video games and creating memories. His family will remember him for his caring nature, his dedication to others, and his ability to make everyone feel important.

He is survived by his wife, Kandice (Mell) Alexander; his son, T.J. Alexander; his mother, Elaine Alexander; his in-laws, Richard and Suzanne Mell; his sister-in-law, K.J. (Phillip) Mell-Davies; his uncle, Jim (Karen) Daniels; his aunt, Gloria (Bill) Nolan; his cousin, Danielle (Mike) Pintozzi; and several other cousins, relatives, friends, and coworkers. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Marion Alexander; his grandparents, Joe Carter and Beulah Alexander, and Yoneko Niwa and Alexander Daniels.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the many lives he touched through his kindness and generosity.
