Thomas K. “Tom” Brackin, 80, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on September 10, 2026.
Tom was a kind and caring person who touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He had a generous heart and a special way of making the people he cared about feel remembered and important. He never missed a birthday or holiday without doing something to make those he loved feel special.
Tom enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing, working on puzzles, playing online computer games, and watching little league baseball. He was also a proud and devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Tom was a meticulous coin collector who took great pride in his collection and the care he put into it.
Tom also had a generous spirit that extended beyond those closest to him. Among his belongings were several certificates recognizing his donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting his desire to help children and families in need.
In 2021, Tom proudly beat cancer, showing the strength and determination that were part of who he was.
Tom is survived by his close and dear friends, Phyllis Branham, Tamara Branham, and Logan Cawthra, who will carry his memory with them and remember the kindness, laughter, and friendship he shared with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard H. Brackin and Jewel H. Brackin.
Tom will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. His kindness, his thoughtfulness, his generosity, and the way he made people feel special will remain a lasting part of his memory.
Cremation rites will accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
