Steven Smith

Ozark

Steven Michael Smith, age 77 of Ozark, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024.  He was born November 30, 1946, to Clyde and Allene “Cotton” Smith. Steven was a 1964 graduate of Ozark High School. He served in the Army National Guard of Missouri and received an honorable discharge.


On November 21, 1992 Steven and Pamela (Lacy) Alfultis were united in marriage.  


Steven was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark.  He was a man of many talents, working as grocery store and restaurant manager, a butcher, and pool hall owner.  He was employed by Fasco Industries for 12 years.  But through it all, his passion was roofing, which he performed for 30 years, before becoming disabled.  


He and his wife, Pam, enjoyed going on cruises, casinos, bowling and golfing. He especially enjoyed the yearly

class of  1964 reunion.


Survivors include:  His wife, Pamela; sister, Renee St. John; nieces, Jill Coffer and husband Troy of Sparta, Amy Sappington and husband Kent of Ozark, Jeri McCoy and husband Jeff of Ozark; great-nephews, Lance Patrick and Caleb Sappington; great-nieces, Olivia Sappington, Kendall McCoy, Parker McCoy and Maela Coffer; brother-in-law Mitchell Allred and wife Charlene of Callahan, Florida; cousins, other family members, and many friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Beth St. John.


Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Thursday, April 25, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Troy Hull officiating.  Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steven's name may be made to Least of These food pantry.
