Stanley Eldon Lauxman

On August 11, 2022, Stanley Eldon Lauxman, 78, passed away in his home in Nixa, MO. He was born on September 24, 1943 in Salina, KS to David and Eva Lauxman. On October 19, 1990, Stan married Cheryl Moore, gaining a large and loving family.

Anyone familiar with Stan knew he was an avid Jayhawk fan. Stan was known for his Jayhawks apparel and was rarely ever seen without a Jayhawks cap.

Stan was a very proud Vietnam Veteran. He served our country at a very young age. After an honorable discharge in January of 1968, Stan settled back in Kansas.

Stan’s greatest love was his grandchildren. He kept a stash of cookies in his room for their visits. The grandkids rushed in the front door and went straight for Papa’s room. They teasingly pretended to steal them from him.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Lauxman of the past 31 years, one brother, Donald Lauxman and wife Kathy of Wichita, KS,  sons, Cary Moore and wife Kimberly of Kaufman, TX, Keith Moore and wife Nancy of Nixa, MO, Jamie Moore of Nixa, MO, Ryan Lauxman and wife Kathy of Wichita, KS, daughter Chanell Lauxman of Spring, TX.  Eight grandchildren Cheramy Tomlinson, Chyra Luckenbaugh, Kenzie Henson, Alex Eakins, Sydney Moore, Aubree Moore, Jacob and David Lauxman along with 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, MO. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in a private family ceremony.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
