Shiela (Griffin) Lowther

Shiela Ann (Griffin) Lowther, age 66, of Ozark, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born December 23, 1954 in Ozark, Missouri, the daughter of Lawrence Jewell Griffin and Dorothy Lou Dee (Manuel) Griffin. Shiela was a 1972 graduate of Ozark High School. She and Terry Lee Lowther were married June 17, 1972. During her working career Shiela was a paralegal and secretary for Bill Beall. Her love of travel led her to be a tour operator and guide, first for Branson Onstage Live, and later operating her own tour company. Years ago, Shiela enjoyed being a member of the Utopia Club in Ozark along with her mother and sister. She was baptized into the First Baptist Church of Ozark. Recently she attended James River Church, and Monett Church of the Nazarene, pastored by her son-in-law. Her family was so important in her life. Spending time with grandchildren was her joy. They all spent time on the lake and cruises with them was her special treat. Shiela enjoyed musicals and couldn’t resist her ice cream. All were loved by her and all will miss their wife, mother, and grandma. Survivors include: Her husband, Terry; three children, Justin and Kristin Lowther of Ozark, Alexis Lowther of Ozark, and Brooke and Joshua Lien of Monett; grandchildren, Trinity Wenners, Chance Wenners, Quinton Bogner, Haylee Bogner, Nevaeh Pinner and Brielle Pinner; and other relatives and friends. Shiela was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Lawrence Griffin, her sister Sonja Belt, and parents-in-law, Cleatus and Maylee Lowther. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 10 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Joshua Lien officiating. Burial will follow in Barren Creek Cemetery, Fair Play, Missouri.
