Sherman went to his Heavenly Home on November 18, 2025. Sherman was born on July 16th, 1939 in Taney County Missouri to Ralph and Velma (Brawner) Stultz. He was a proud of his faith and attended church at the House of Prayer in Reeds Spring Missouri. Hе loved playing his guitar and also served as trustee for many years at church.
As a young man, Sherman helped his father grow tomatoes for the canning factory and also hauled hay for farmers. At the age of 18 he joined the Labor Union. He worked construction on the Table Rock Dam. Afterwords he went to work for CECO Steel Corporation helping build GE and St John's, now Mercy Hospital in Springfield Missouri. Then went on to build a hospital in Fort Scott Kansas as well as the school in Waynesville Missouri.
Sherman met Thelma in 1959. They later married in 1960. After getting married he moved closer to home and took a job at the Hagles Garment Factory in Ozark Missouri. He worked there for 13 years before taking a job with the Ozark School District. He worked with them for 29 years, then retired in 2000.
Sherman enjoyed working in the garden and taking care of his cattle with his wife Thelma and family. His cattle became more pets to him as he would show them where to go to feed with a gentle hand. Sherman and Thelma worked together, helping each other with chores inside and outside the home.
Sherman was a man of many talents, this included playing his guitar, putting a motor in his car, electrical work, plumbing, and using a computer.
Sherman always wore a smile on his face, loved everyone he met. Also loved God and his family.
Sherman is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Velma (Brawner) Stultz, one sister Elma Bruffett, three brothers Dale, Vernon, and Garold Stultz. In laws William and Ruby Gregory. Nephews Ronnie Gregory and Devell Stultz and niece Malissa Gregory.
He is survived by his wife Thelma Stultz of Reeds Spring, brothers and sisters in law Roy and Linda Gregory of Reeds Spring, Dallas and Leona Bruffett Galena, niece Marsha Perrman of Aurora, three nephews Darrell and Kim Bruffett of Galena, Kerry and Janice Stultz of Cape Fair, Randy and Lisa Gregory of Reeds Spring, great nephews Austin Gregory and Raven Brown of Reeds Spring, Eathon and Jaymie Gregory of Galena, and Jonathon Gregory of Highlandville.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa with Tony Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Eisenhour Cemetery, Spokane, Missouri. A visitation will be held 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at the funeral home.
