Sandy Glain Shawley, age 57, of Clever, Missouri, passed away on October 8, 2025. She was born on January 7, 1968, to Glain Thompson. Sandy graduated from Nixa High School in 1986 and married the love of her life, Robert Shawley, on May 27, 2011. Together, they shared countless adventures and a life filled with laughter, love, and faith.
Sandy truly lived life to the fullest. From her teenage years spent back roading with friends and her mom, to her lifelong passion for horses and riding, she embraced every moment with joy and energy. Later in life, she and Robert traveled the country on motorcycles with their dear friends from the Itus Virtus Motorcycle Group — a group that became like family to her. Through their group, Sandy found purpose in giving back, volunteering for Toys for Tots, placing Christmas wreaths at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, and organizing clothing drives for those in need.
She had a deep love for the mountains, the ocean, and adventure — whether on a cruise, wakeboarding, or skiing, Sandy found beauty and excitement in God’s creation. She attended James River Church faithfully and joyfully. The praise and worship team lifted her spirits abundantly.
A talented and hardworking woman, Sandy worked as a nail technician for thirty years and owned several salons in the area. Her creativity and warmth touched her clients and coworkers alike. She was an exceptional cook and was famous for her homemade cinnamon rolls — a recipe known and loved by all who tried them. Her family will always fondly remember her quirky and humorous love for her floating Santa Claus collection, which brought her endless joy each Christmas.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Robert Shawley; her mother, Glain Thompson; her children, Amanda (Preston) Frazier and Cory (Krystal) Stafford; her grandchildren, Ireland, Mason, Landon, Layla, and Ronnie (Amber) Shawley; and her great-grandchildren, Rylee and Nala Shawley. She is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles, Wayne (Ronda) Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Gay (Kevin) Howard, along with many cousins and cherished friends who will miss her dearly.
Sandy’s radiant smile, adventurous spirit, and boundless love for her family and friends will be forever remembered. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, and her memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
