Ruby Elaine Price Sims, age 67, passed after a short illness, on July 1, 2026. She was born on June 25, 1959, in Springfield, Missouri. Ruby was the youngest child of four daughters born to Ruth and Wesley Price.
In her younger years, Ruby lived in Springfield and Ozark, Missouri, and she graduated from Ozark High School. Ruby was a long-time member of Highlandville First Baptist Church in Highlandville, Missouri.
Ruby was a beautiful soul with many talents and a generous spirit that touched everyone around her.
One of her greatest passions was music. She played many instruments and had a beautiful singing voice! At her Ozark home, she opened the Mule Lip Music Barn, where friends and family gathered to enjoy music and fellowship. Over the years, she often sang with her dad and sisters and occasionally shared her gift at her church. Ruby's love of music lives on through her grandson, Greyson, who inherited that same passion and will continue to honor her through music for years to come!
Ruby also loved spending time at the lake. She spent many summers camping with her family, enjoying boating, water sports, and making memories together. Her love for the lake and outdoor adventures was something she proudly passed down to her daughter and family. Above all, Ruby cherished her family. She dedicated the last four years of her life to caring for her mother, Ruth, in her home, where they shared precious time and created many lasting memories together.
Ruby also shared a special bond with her three sisters, who brought her a lifetime of love, laughter, and probably a few stories that were best kept between sisters. Her daughter and grandsons were the pride and joy of her life. She enjoyed attending her grandsons' sporting events whenever she could and especially loved playing Chinese checkers with her youngest grandson, Emerson.
In her younger years, Ruby raised Appaloosa horses and was an avid rider and lifelong animal lover. She enjoyed trail riding, barrel racing and spent years showing her Appaloosas. Ruby was actively involved in the Ozark Appaloosa Club, where she developed lasting friendships! While exploring career opportunities, she auditioned for a riding position with the Dolly Parton Stampede in Branson, Missouri. Although she was offered the chance to pursue that path, she ultimately chose a career in sales and marketing instead.
Ruby dedicated many years to a successful career in sales and management. She began with Walmart before joining Procter & Gamble, where she traveled and managed store setups. She concluded her career with Dollar General, serving as both a store manager and Regional Training Manager before retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Wesley Price, and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Sims Euliss, and son-in-law, Marcus Euliss; two grandsons, Greyson Euliss and Emerson Euliss; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra Price Moffet and husband Don, Connie Price Baker and husband Jim, and Debra Price Ferrell and husband Boone; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Details for the celebration of life will be announced shortly.
Cremation rites were accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
