Roy Junior Hicks

Roy Junior Hicks, age 80 of Nixa, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born March 22, 1941, the son of Roy Woodrow and Lorell (Skaggs) Hicks. Roy was a 1959 graduate of Bell High School in Los Angeles. On August 22, 1964 he was united in marriage to Frances (Spivey.) Roy served his country in the U.S. Army. Roy was baptized in 1983 at Calvary Bible Church in Nixa. He worked for 34 years as a master craftsman for Paul Mueller until his retirement. Roy was always learning. He received his EMT certification from Christian County and was beginning to learn Hebrew. Roy enjoyed hot rods, gardening and outdoors in general. Survivors include: his wife, Frances Hicks of Nixa; children, Cindy Fenley and husband Dennis of Bradenton, Florida, Olin Hicks of Ozark and Will Hicks of Monterey, California; two grandchildren, Jesse Fenley and wife Christian of Spokane and Kate Fenley of Northlake, Texas; three great grandchildren, Georgia, Maggie, and Minnie; and a brother, Clifford Hicks and wife Jeanne of Nixa. Roy was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held from 2-3 P.M. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A family graveside service will follow at 3:30 P.M. at Delaware Cemetery, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
