Rosetta L. Burk

Rosetta Lucille Burk, age 60, passed away on Friday July 8, 2022, at Buffalo Prairie Care Center in Buffalo, Mo after a battle with cancer.

Rosetta was born on August 11, 1961, in Douglas County Missouri. At age three, Rosetta came to live with Luther and Edith (Tennison) Burk. They later adopted her. She enjoyed growing up on the family farm in Highlandville, Missouri.

Rosetta had a caring heart, she had a great love for all animals, especially cats and dogs. Rosetta also enjoyed music, specifically gospel and country music. She loved to attend and socialize at church. She was a faithful member of Selmore Baptist Church. Rosetta also loved to quilt, prior to covid, she quilted at the church, then the quilting moved to her home. Rosetta and her sister Angel quilted together often, Angel would do the sewing and Rosetta would tie, they made quite the team.

Rosetta was preceded by her parents, Luther and Edith Burk, and one sister Lola Jean Burk. She is survived by her brother Roy and wife Debbie, sisters Angel Burk, Dorothy Shipman, Shelly Shipman, Trish Schmig and husband Jimmy, and niece Robyn Barnhart and husband Brandon.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday July 15, 2022, at Eisenhour Cemetery in Spokane, Missouri. Pastor Josh Hall from Selmore Baptist Church will be officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.

Rosetta would walk along Burk Road, stopping to visit my family or just to pet the family dogs.
She was always smiling and so sweet to visit with.
You will be missed, Sweet.
