On May 23, 2024, Robert Joseph Marston Sr, aged 82 of Nixa, peacefully passed away. He was born on September 7, 1941, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Arthur and Myrtle (Taylor) Marston.
Robert exemplified a truly altruistic spirit throughout his life. Spending decades as a minister with the Salvation Army and dedicating himself to disaster relief efforts with the American Red Cross. He valued being protector and provider of his family.
In his quieter moments, Robert found solace in the pages of mystery books and took pleasure in watching game shows in his later years.
Left to cherish his memory are three children: Catherine Burleigh (Duane), Loralee Bennett (Jim), and Robert Marston Jr (Sheri); two stepchildren: Bryan Drahofsky, Donna Steckert (Robert); along with one sister, Shirley Ambrose; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Robert is now reunited in eternal peace with his parents, his first wife Carolee Marston, and his second wife MaryAnn Marston, as well as two sisters: Carol Banfill and Doris Quigley; and one brother, Arthur Marston Jr.
The arrangements for honoring Robert's life are entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Nixa. Cremation services will be provided by Adams Crematory.
