Robert James Crist, age 64, of Springfield, Missouri, has peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024. He was born on December 17, 1959, to Kenneth Crist and Roberta Crist Bostic.
Throughout his life, Robert faced numerous challenges and difficult situations. However, he had a profound salvation story - a testament to the transformative power of faith in his life. His journey was a living example of the remarkable changes that can occur when one opens their heart to the grace of the Lord. Robert's unwavering faith led him to share the message of hope and steadfastness with all those around him, even offering solace and comfort to others in the oncology wing through his words of encouragement.
Robert cherished moments spent with family and treasured gatherings that brought loved ones together. An avid reader, he discovered the joy of reading under the guidance of his beloved "Popsi" and found solace in the pages of Louis Lamour western series.
His dedication shone through in his work at Missouri State University, where he oversaw janitorial services for residence halls. The walls of his home adorned with heartfelt cards from students acknowledging his hard work were a testament to the impact he made in the lives of many.
Robert is survived by his mother, Roberta Eileen Bostic; loving daughter Diana Crist Arteaga and her spouse; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother W.C. Bostic and his wife Lara; sisters Cherry Seikawitch and her husband Don, Jodi Biers and her husband John, Vicki Baker and her husband Bill, Cathy Holiday; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his father Kenneth Crist and brother Edward Crist.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Robert will be held by the family at a later date. The arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, with cremation rites performed respectfully by Adams Crematory in Ozark.
