Rob Pojar

Robert Lynn “Rob” Pojar, age 63, of Nixa, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021. He was born May 20, 1958 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Martin and Virginia (Summers) Pojar. Rob and Sherrill Annette Parks were married September 24, 1976. Sherrill preceded Rob in death in 2019. His father preceded him in death in 2017. Rob was a Catholic by faith. Rob proudly served his county in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Military Police Drill Sergeant in 1994. Following retirement, he went to work for the Federal Prison system. In 2014 he retired, and enjoyed his time with family, fishing and loving the lake. He was a wonderful care giver, not only for his wife, but for his children and grandchildren. Survivors include: His family, Tori and Eric Mitchell, Hayden, Justin and Olivia, Bobby, Spencer, Ethan, Mackenzie, and Harley; his mother, Virginia Pojar; four sisters, Betty Coyle Roberts, Kathy Schroeder, Vicky Murray, Jackie Burke; a brother, Ron Pojar; aunts and uncles; other relatives; and many friends. A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Monday, July 5, 2021 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Father Thomas Reidy officiating. Burial will be in McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery.
