Rita Roberts

Rita Mae (Reynolds) Roberts of Spokane, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. She was three months away from celebrating her 100th birthday. Rita was born on the family farm on November 10, 1919, where she lived until the age of 97. She was married to Shobe Roberts on August 29, 1943. Throughout her life she wore many hats - working hard each day tackling any job that needed done on the farm, keeping everyone who came through her door well fed and even getting herself into a little mischief. Rita enjoyed her animals, playing cards, gardening, reading and cooking. It's impossible to know the number of lives she touched in her lifetime but if you knew her for even a moment - you loved her. Though she had no children of her own, she had many young people who considered her and Shobe as grand-parents. She had many nephews and nieces. Rita was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Shobe Roberts, both brothers, Bill and Frank Reynolds, and her parents Bill and Mary Reynolds She is survived by countless friends and family. The family wishes to thank everyone at Bradford Court Senior Living for their friendship and loving care. A visitation for Rita will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 PM Thursday, August 15, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 16, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Schupbach Cemetery, Chestnutridge, MO.
