Rita Janet Helton, 73, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on May 1, 2025. She was born on November 30, 1951, to Richard and Ann Dion.

Rita shared over twenty loving years with her husband, Doug Helton. Together, they enjoyed traveling to Disney World and spending time with their motorcycle family in Daytona Beach, Florida. Rita had a special love for Disney, and she often returned from her visits with thoughtful gifts for children in her community.

She spent many years working in the motorcycle parts industry as a dedicated customer service agent, including several years with J&P Cycles in Daytona Beach. Rita was known for her kindness, her love for people, and her generous spirit.

In retirement, Rita found joy and connection at Coryell Crossing in Springfield, where she was an active member of the community. She looked forward to morning coffee with her friends, enjoyed crocheting dolls to give to loved ones, participated in bunco groups, and went on road trips to the casinos in her car and casino bus trips.

Rita loved her family and friendships deeply and touched the lives of many with her warmth and laughter. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rita is survived by: three daughters, Melissa (Tim Orr) Martin, Karen (Nate) Sampson, Amanda (Chris) Kelly-Jones; one son, Bradley (Sarah) Kelly; Eleven grandchildren; one niece, Rose (Billy) Butler; one nephew, Bruce Hampton.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ann Dion; her spouse; Doug Helton; and a sister, Pat Hampton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
