Richard Bolin

Richard Wayne Bolin, Nixa, passed away at home Oct. 10, 2020. He was born June 25, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to Loran and Orpha Mae Bolin. Richard grew up in Bois D'Arc & graduated from Ash Grove High School. On June 24, 1966 he and his wife Linda were married in Topeka, KS. After serving in the US Army for two years they moved to Springfield where he worked as a sales rep for R.T. French for 18 years. He then worked for Dillons in Topeka and Springfield until his retirement. He continued to work in his early retirement part time for Peoples Bank, Nixa for several years. Richard was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Nixa. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Bolin. Survivors include: Linda, his wife of 54 years; son Eric & wife Courtney, Dittmer, Missouri; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ashlyn, Jacob and Cora; sister-in-law Cherise and husband George Lynch, Raleigh, NC; brother-in-law Gary & wife Kay Shipp, Topeka, KS; mother-in-law Frankie Shipp, Ozark; two nephews, Jason and Andrew Shipp; niece Marci Gudenkauf; and a dearly loved cousin, Bev Wagner, Ash Grove. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Dennis Miller officiating. A graveside service with full military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at noon. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Teen Challenge of St. Louis or the Aldersgate Stephen Ministry.
