Rex E. Wallace, age 85, passed away peacefully June 11, 2023 at 5:45 p.m. surrounded by his family.  He was born November 27, 1937 to Fair Wallace and Stella (Ridenour) Wallace in Ozark, Missouri.

Rex worked most of his life in the concrete business, taking great pride in being a concrete finisher.  Rex proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was decorated as an expert Marksman with Rifle and Mortar and also received commendation as a sharp shooter with an M-14 rifle.

Rex had many interests in life.  He loved fishing, the outdoors, enjoyed going to the track and betting on the horse races.  He also loved playing guitar and singing with his buddies in a music group.  Rex was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Elks Lodge where he was named, Elks Member of the Year!  Rex loved making his friends and family happy with his hospitality.  He was a great cook who loved hosting fish fries, Sunday family breakfast, and other gatherings.  Rex had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed sharing a joke.

As inspired by Frank Sinatra’s song

“I DID IT MY WAY”

And now the end is here

And so I face that final curtain

My friend I’ll make it clear

I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain

I’ve lived a life that’s full

I traveled each and every highway

And more, much more

I did it, I did it my way
