Raymond Storie

Raymond Turner Storie passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on August 20th, 2021 following a three week period of illness. Raymond touched the many lives of others through his kind and forgiving spirit, and his unfailing witness of his love of God. Raymond shared his testimony to others of being saved and born again through his baptism in a lake in 2005. Raymond was born on May 17,1962 to Charles R. Storie and Nancy V. Dinsmore Evans Storie. Raymond received his namesake from his two grandfathers, paternal grandfather Raymond Clifford Storie and his maternal grandfather William Turner Dinsmore. Raymond was raised by his father Charles R. Storie and his mother Paulette J. Ising Storie in Ballwin, MO. Throughout his youth he was athletic in sports, from playing baseball on the local team to his strong competitive spirit on the track team throughout his school years, he excelled in long distance running, and as a teenager he made the front cover of the St. Louis Post Dispatch Newspaper for his record time of running a 20 mile run. As a young man he was introduced into the competition sport of Frisbee Golf in which he played and competed in up till a few years ago. As a young man he worked in various fields of employment, from his first job of having his own newspaper route to working for Mississippi River Corporation on the installation of the gas pipelines, to road bridge building and construction work, but he found his place as a skilled painter in home and commercial painting up to the time of his illness. Raymond was united in marriage to Carolyn Smith Hill on December 11th, 1993 and from this union he leaves to mourn his untimely passing his daughter Raelene Storie Wood (Zach) along with his grandaughter Ryleigh of Little Elm, Texas, step daughter Shaina Hill Anglin (Louis) of Searcy Ark. with children Stevie, Morgan & Caitlin. Raymond is survived by his parents, Charles and Paulette Storie of Springfield, MO, brothers Charles Storie Jr. of Joshua Tree, CA , Anthony Storie of Marietta, GA, Chad Storie of St. Louis, Mo, his sister Jennifer Storie Teel Ellison (Richard) of Labadie, MO, sister Debra Cochran (James) of Chesterfield, MO, Dawn Sutton (James) of Loutraki, Greece, and Raymond’s fiance Beverly Brewer of Kensett, AR; Ray’s nephews Brandon (Leasha) Teel of Eureka, Mo, Christopher (Anna) Teel of Tucson, AZ his Aunt, nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Raymond C. Storie and Eddeth McClary Storie Nielsen, his maternal grandparents William Turner Dinsmore and Mrytle Clapp Dinsmore, and his grandmother Caroline Cervenka Ising, sister Mary Lara and a nephew Jason Teel.
