Rahl Cantu

September 12, 1966 — March 4, 2024

Nixa, Missouri

Rahl Cantu, a beloved member of the Branson and Nixa community, passed away in his home surrounded by family at the age of 57 in Nixa, Missouri.  He was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1966.  Rahl was a devoted husband to his wife Angela Rochon Cantu.

Rahl's greatest love was his family.  For his daughters he had special names for them, Kool A, Kool D, and Baby A.  He supported his kids and grandkids in all their passions and sporting events.  From the girl's dance, cheer and softball to his true love of baseball with the grand kids.  Rahl was all about the grand kids and his role as grandfather lit him up.  He spent a lot of time on the baseball field with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed the holidays and loved to watch sports with the family.  One special trip that Rahl took was with his grandson Jayce to the All-American Games in Florida.  The grandkids affectionately called him “Pa” and “Pops.”

Rahl graduated from Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1984 and then went to School of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri.  He played baseball at his high school and college. He had a great love for the Tennessee Volunteers college teams.  He especially loved the New York Yankee's baseball team.  He also enjoyed bowling and four wheeling.

A skilled electrician by profession, Rahl took immense pride in his work ethic and excelled in his role as a hardworking individual.  He was highly respected by many in his field.

Rahl's true love outside of family was God and baseball.  He was a dedicated coach to several teams.  He coached Tball to Junior High as a volunteer coach.  He coached YMCA Branson Cardinals, Forsyth Outlaws, Branson Bronx Bombers, Branson Turn 2, and was also a youth Branson Pirates basketball and baseball coach. He was known by many as Coach Rahl.

Rahl was noted to be ornery and a true prankster which kept the family on their toes with his shenanigans.   He was a member of AA and was very proud to be fourteen years sober.  His AA group was a support system for him, and he was a support system to other members in his group. The late Kent Lies, Rahl's father-in-law was a big influence for his sobriety.

Rahl is survived by his wife Angela Rochon Cantu; former wife Angie Cantu; three daughters Amanda and Husband Joe Dent, Danica and husband Zach Farmer, Andrea Cantu and partner Zach Torner; his beloved grandchildren, Timothy and Tinley, Jayce, Blake, Reid, Gavin and Clara, Roman and Kevin.

Rahl was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Fellowship at Cross Creek Church.
