Palma Jean Conway, age 89, of Nixa, Missouri passed into eternal rest on November 7, 2022 at her home.
Palma was born on April 30, 1933, in Oakland, Arkansas to the late Jesse and Amanda (Reliford) Wilbanks. At age 17, Palma was united in marriage to Darrell Dean Conway. He had been drafted for the Korean War and was bound for Ft. Smith where he was stationed. Together they had two children, Debbie, and Kenneth.
Palma loved her family. Caring for them brought her great joy. She was mom and grandma to all. She knew not a stranger and would care and love you. Outside of the home, Palma worked as a secretary. She was the school secretary for Bissett Elementary School in Springfield, Missouri. Her final secretary job was for Frisco where she and Darrell worked together.
Palma was preceded by her parents, two brothers, son in law Phil Blosh, and beloved husband Darrell. She is survived by her children Debbie Mosby and Kenneth Conway, grandchildren Jackie Hensley (Allen) and James Conway (Ashley), three greatgrandchildren Elli Conway, Nora Hensley, and Lorelai Hensley.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Missouri veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
Arrangement are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
