Mike Adams passed away July 6, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on June 3, 1944 in Springfield, he was the son of Leonard and Genevieve (McCauley) Adams.
On January 3, 1963 was united in marriage to Carla Ann (Blevins) Adams, who preceded him in death on May 23, 2025.
Mike worked as a lineman for Empire Electric for 40 years. He was a farmer, tending his Beefmaster and Longhorn cattle. Mike was also pretty salty on the heel side, roping steers.
He was a member of Finley River Cowboy Church in Highlandville. But what he enjoyed most was being PaPa to everyone that knew him, most importantly his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include: his daughter, Mollie Howard and her husband, Brian of Sparta; his grandchildren, Megan Swayne of Ozark and Kendall Finley along with her husband Tyron, also of Ozark; his great grandchildren, Bub, Kingston, Breccan, Bronx, Lillian, and Kanyon; his sisters in law, Kathy Taylor and husband Jack of Ozark, Mary Ann Adams and Yvonne Adams; his cousin, Jennifer Faulk; and his nephews and nieces, Ryan Barton; Brooke Smith and husband Paul, Steven Adams and Jeff Adams.
In addition to his wife Carla, Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Dale Adams and Bruce Adams.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, with Pastor Jeff Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at McCauley Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., immediately before the funeral at the funeral home.
