Micheal James Lefler

Micheal James “Mike” Lefler, age 84 of Nixa, passed away March 15, 2024. He was born August 10, 1939 in St. Louis, the son of Lester and Dorothy (George) Lefler.

Mike served his country in the U.S. Air Force. On August 13, 1960 Mike was united in marriage to Frances Jane Monroe in Crescent, Missouri.

Mike was a member and deacon of North Nixa Baptist Church where he was very active and served in many areas. Mike and Jane owned and operated their restaurant,  The Pickle Barrel, for many years. He also enjoyed playing softball, fishing and traveling. Mike loved RV camping and has traveled to all but one state. He loved and supported his local teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues.

Survivors include: his wife, Jane Lefler of Nixa; his children, Donna Dobbins and Karen and Danny Martin; his grandchildren, Casey and Philip Elliott, Andy and Kirsten Hahn, Lucas and Samantha Hahn, Grace Hahn, Jason, Nathan and Nick Dobbins, Matt Martin, Marshall and Makenah Martin, and Michael Martin; great grandchildren, Solomon, Salem and Eden Elliott, Genevieve and Cameron Hahn, Rowan, Eleanor and Maverick Martin, and Atlas Martin; his brother, Shelby Lefler.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Dorothy Lefler; his in-laws, Ofle and Opal Monroe; his daughter, Linda (Lefler) Hahn; and his son-in-law, Kevin Dobbins. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 with Pastor Travis Edwards officiating, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be held immediately before the service from 10-11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Crescent Lewis Cemetery in Crescent, Missouri. The service will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Wesley Hahn officiating.
