Michael Alexander Galindo, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on May 30th, 2026. He lived a bright life of compassionate service that pointed his family and friends continuously towards the love of Christ.
Mike was born on July 19, 1971, in Tucson, Arizona to Jorge Hugo Galindo and Linda Kathleen Skaff. On June 4, 1994 he married his best friend, Ashley Galindo, and together they raised their three children Ethan, Hailee, and Meghan. As he shared the joys of life with Ashley, played with his kids, and always provided with a servant’s heart, family became the thriving center of his life: Mike’s happy place was home.
The quintessence of life for Mike was fishing, four-wheeling, traveling, or having friends over for a BBQ: simple pleasures shared with those he loved. Mike immediately connected with anybody, making them feel like the most interesting person in the world, and through his hardy laugh and authentic sense of humor, he invited others to experience the richness of life with him. When Mike was in the room, nobody was an outsider.
His loving care extended to a multitude of individuals and families during the two decades he served as a Cox Health ER physician in Springfield, Missouri. When Mike would see patients, his intentional first words always carried the kindness so characteristic of him: “Hello friend, I’m sorry to hear about your troubles. What’s bothering you today?” In moments of trauma and grief, he brought the peace and hope of Christ to patients and coworkers alike.
This hope, his personal relationship with Jesus, was the blazing center of his wisdom, good-naturedness, charisma, strength, and generosity that blessed and charmed everyone who encountered him. In spite of his demanding schedule, Mike always prioritized leading his family in faith and championed the Church. From helping people in need to imparting wisdom over coffee with friends, he lived the love of Christ in a million practical ways.
The person who Mike was continues to pour out to others through the legacy he has left in the family he held so dear: his wife Ashley (Lovebird); his son and family Ethan, June, and Michael; and daughters Hailee and Meghan.
The family welcomes all to join them in a service honoring Mike’s life on June 20th, 2026, 10:30 AM, at James River Church South Campus, Youth Venue: 6100 N 19th St, Ozark, MO 65721.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
