Metta Jean Scott, of Ozark, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at the age of 100. She was born May 15, 1925, and lived a full and beautiful life.
Metta dedicated 36 years of service to Southwestern Bell, where she worked with diligence and care. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple things—crocheting, knitting, playing the organ, and sharing her love of square dancing, line dancing, and traveling. Her hands and heart were always busy, creating warmth and memories for those she loved.
She was married to her beloved husband, Earl Scott, for 52 wonderful years before his passing in 1998.
Metta was preceded in death by Earl, her granddaughter Cheryl Kronholm, great-granddaughter Jordan Kronholm, and many cherished friends who went before her.
She leaves behind her children, Edward Thomas Scott and Rebecca Jean Weeks; her grandchildren Julie Scott, Stanley Weeks, and Jennifer Petty; along with a host of great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts.
A graveside service at Hazelwood Cemetery will be published when the date and time is set.
