Marla Jean Cook

Marla Jean Cook, age 53 of Springfield, died August 7, 2020. She was born January 16, 1967 in Springfield, the daughter of Ronnie and Barbara (Maggard) Adams-Combs. Marla was a member of Union Hill Church in Keltner from a young age. She had worked as a caretaker most of her life, as a certified nurse assistant. Marla's passion was for caring for the elderly and saving neglected pets. She had a loving and caring heart, especially for her family and friends. Survivors include: her daughter, Misty Adams and husband Robert of Springfield; her mother, Barbara Combs and stepfather, Garland of Strafford; her sister, Melissa Hutchinson and husband Ralph of Ava; her nephew, Nathan Hutchinson and wife Erica of Ava; her nieces, Deanna Hutchinson and fianc� Jerry Powell of Oldfield; and her great nephews, Lane, Wyatt, Jase, Kason and Preston. Marla was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Cook; her father, Ronnie Adams; her grandparents, Roger and Alma Adams and Ira and Faye Maggard; and a nephew, Ethan Hutchinson. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Harvill Cemetery, Keltner, Missouri, with Reverend James Orick officiating, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Love offerings may be made to the family through the funeral home.
