Mark Wayne Brumley

February 7, 1962 — October 30, 2022

Mark Wayne Brumley, age 60, of Nixa, Missouri entered into eternal rest

on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri.

Mark was born on February 2, 1962, in Waynesville, Missouri to Emmitt and Patsy (Walters) Brumley. From a young age, Mark loved the water. He enjoyed boating at the lake. This continued into his adult life with weekends at the lake with his beloved husband and children. Mark loved his children. They were the light of his life. He spoiled them every chance he got. Most of all he loved being their dad.

For the past 13 years, Mark was employed by Titanic Museum Attraction. There he built a loving work family. He was the director of merchandising for both the Branson and Pigeon Forge museums. His employees were his friends. He treated them as equals and loved them as family. Prior to his role with Titanic, Mark worked for Disney. He ran the Disney store at the Branson Landing until its closing. While Titanic was his passion, family was Mark’s life. He and JD were foster parents for ten years. During this time, 15 children passed through their caring home.

Mark was loved by all. His dedication and passion were remarkable. He loved fiercely. His great love will be so missed but will forever be felt in the hearts that were blessed to know him.

Mark was preceded by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his husband of 21 years, JD Brumley of the home, their four children David Brumley of Arizona, Zayden Brumley of the home, Ethan Brumley of the home, and Lilly Brumley of the home. His parents of Crocker, MO., sister Melinda Werths (KC) of Richland, MO., nephew Aaron Kelley (Tina) of Illinois, one great nephew Easton, step neice Amanda Nelson (Aaron) of Minnesota, mother and father-in-law Lee and Bob Vanaman of Springfield, MO., sister-in-law Sarah Green (Bob) of Branson, MO., beloved friend, and mentor Mary Kellogg-Joslyn, as well as a host of extended family and beloved friends.

A special note of thanks and sincere gratitude to those who stayed with Mark until the end. Your love and kindness did not go unnoticed. There will never be enough gratitude to give, we thank you and we love you.
