Marjorie "Marge" Lea Bossing

November 26, 1938 — April 2, 2026

Springfield

Marjorie “Marge” Lea Bossing, age 87, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away April 2, 2026. She was born November 26, 1938, to Milford and Norma (Kennedy) Hutchins.

After the passing of her mother, Marjorie was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Lillie and John Kennedy, who helped shape the caring and devoted woman she would become.

On November 18, 1956, Marjorie married the love of her life, Harold Francis Bossing. Together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on December 23, 2017. Their love was evident in the simple, meaningful ways they cared for one another—Harold never left the house without giving Marge a kiss, and she made sure he had his favorite fried potatoes each day.

Marjorie attended Stockton High School and continued her education at Drury School of Nursing. However, her true calling was found in marriage, family, and faith. She was a homemaker at heart, always putting the needs of her loved ones first. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, where no one ever left hungry and everyone was invited. She loved to cook, sew, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, attending bingo with her friend Donna in earlier years, lunching with friends from nursing school, and spending time with good friends Georgia, Ruth, and Bobbi, among others. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs and her faith in the Lord was evident in how she lived her life and raised her children.

Marjorie will be remembered as a caring, thoughtful, and devoted woman who found joy in life’s little moments and in the people she loved most.

She is survived by daughter Linda Wiebe, who took impeccable care of Marge until her passing; grandchildren Justin (Helen), Holly, Jordan, Carli (Randall), Dallas (Maureen), and Bronson; great-grandchildren Ethan, Annabelle, Isabel, Noah, and George; great-great-grandchildren Cypher and Severus; siblings Charles Hutchins, Loren Dale (Mable) Hutchins, Marion Lee (Carla) Hutchins, Norma Jean Hubler, Judy Templeton, and Kathy (Tony) Lambeth; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold; parents, Milford and Norma; step-mother Maryetta Hutchins; daughters Susan Thomsen and Carol Young; sons-in-law Bronson Wiebe and Mike Young; sister Connie Record; sister-in-law, Nelda Hutchins; brothers-in-law Ron Hubler and Bill Templeton; step-brother David Hawkins; and her beloved grandparents, Lillie and John.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
