Margaret Joyce Keeley

October 21, 1940 — May 18, 2026

Ozark

Margaret Joyce Keeley, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Ozark on May 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her son and daughter-in-law.

Margaret was born on October 21, 1940, in Strood to Cycril and Mabel Daniels. Raised in England during and after World War II, she experienced the hardships of wartime and the years of rationing that followed. Those early years shaped the strong, resourceful, and determined woman she would become.

While on a company outing in France, Margaret met the love of her life, Kenneth Keeley. Kenneth persistently pursued her affection until he finally won her heart, and the two were married in March of 1961. Together they built a life grounded in hard work, sacrifice, and devotion to family. Kenneth preceded her in death in 2022 after more than sixty years of marriage.

Margaret was creative, clever, and able to improvise. No challenge ever seemed too great for her to face. She was a loving mother, a kind and patient soul, selfless in the care of those around her, and a devoted wife throughout her long marriage to Kenneth. Through determination and tireless work, Margaret and Kenneth achieved the life they dreamed of together; purchasing a home, sending their son to college, retiring early, and traveling together. She sacrificed greatly to ensure her son had opportunities and comforts she herself did not have growing up.

She found joy in knitting, dancing, and caring for those she loved. Margaret will be remembered for her strength, quick wit, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth and spirit touched all who knew her, and the memories she created will be treasured always.

Margaret is survived by her son, Michael (Kristie) Keeley; grand-dogs, Poppy and Beanie; and brothers Tony (Wendy) Daniels, David (June) Daniels, Brian (Penny) Daniels.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Cycril and Mabel Daniels; husband, Kenneth Keeley; and brothers, Peter Daniels, Kenny Daniels, and Ronny Daniels; and her precious dog Ben-Ben.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
