Linda Kay Potter, 78, of Marshfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025. She was born on April 19, 1947, to Marvin and Kathryn Helms.
Linda was a proud graduate of Paseo High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. A woman of faith, she was a member of the Catholic Church.
A passionate writer, Linda authored and published two children’s books, sharing her creativity and love for storytelling. She was also an enthusiastic football fan who cheered faithfully for the Kansas City Chiefs and her favorite player, Patrick Mahomes.
Above all, Linda cherished her family. She is survived by her loving children, Teresa (Rodney) Lewis, Cynthia House, and Charles Smith; her many grandchildren; and her great-granddaughter, Teresa Franklin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Kathryn Helms.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri with Chaplain Terry Ramming officiating. A visitation will precede the service at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites will be accorded to Adams Crematory.
