Linda Merrill Noe

Linda Merrill Noe, age 77, went to her eternal home on September 11, 2022.

Linda was the oldest of three daughters born to Carmen and Mabel McConnell. She was born on November 21, 1944 and was raised on a farm in Nixa. Linda fondly recalled childhood memories with her two sisters and a host of farm animals and pets. Linda attended Nixa school for all 12 grades, graduating in 1962. She then attended and graduated from Draughon’s Business College. Linda worked as a legal secretary for 13 years and part-time at MSU for 22 years.

She married her sweetheart Larry on May 1, 1964. The young couple made their home in Nixa. During that time, she and Larry built their home where they resided together until her passing. They had two children, Jennifer and Brian. Linda was a Christian and read a chapter of her Bible daily. Linda has devoted her life to being a wonderful wife and mother. She will never leave our thoughts and we will meet her again in Heaven.

Linda was preceded in death by her father and mother, Carmen and Mabel (Inman) McConnell. She is survived by her hero and husband of 58 years, Larry, daughter Jennifer (Noe) Baltes and husband Tim of Springfield, son Brian Noe and wife Shirley of Nixa, two sisters, Connie Jones (husband Eddie) of Clever, and Marsha Crotts (husband Raymond), of Willard, six grandchildren, and a host of extended family and beloved friends.   

As Linda requested, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022, at McConnell Memorial Cemetery, Nixa, Missouri.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Haven of The Ozarks Animal Shelter,  9617 Farm Rd 2190, Washburn, MO 65772.
