Lila Irene Johnson, 87, of Nixa, Missouri passed peacefully in her sleep at Mercy Hospital with her family by her side on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Lila was born June 19, 1935, and was an only child to Charles Bath, and Edith (Peacock) Bath in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Lila and Theodore were married on October 17, 1953, and became partners on a small family business, Ozark Mold, and Engineering where many of her family members worked through the years together.
Lila was selfless, always more concerned about meeting the needs of others instead of herself. She was happiest when she was with and taking care of family and always welcomed guests into her home. She was very independent and did not ask for help from others, but that is okay, because she raised her family to take care of others even when they could not ask for help. She loved to travel with family, cook, and read. She loved to be on the go, and she was always ready for an adventure. She and Ted loved horses and competed in horse shows for many years. She loved to go and watch horse shows, polo games, horse racing, and dog shows. She loved to bowl and was on many leagues throughout her life. She enjoyed playing spades online, and she was in a few Facebook cooking groups where she shared her love of cooking.
Lila is survived by her daughter, Diane Gaddy of Rogersville, MO.
Surviving grandchildren are Dawn Renee Leonard, Mindy Flannigan, Christy Carr, Ted Gaddy, and Eric Englind.
Surviving great grandchildren are Ian Sedlemeyer, Anastacia Sedlemeyer, Lily Flannigan, Graycen Flannigan, Sophia Gaddy, Ryan Leonard, Gavin Alexander, Caleb Alexander, Malachi Patterson, Cameron Patterson, Grace Patterson, Colin Smith, Gaige Englind, and Brooklynn Englind.
Surviving great great grandchildren are Stormee Vandier, Theodore Taylor, Keeley, Allison and Dawson Leonard, Ethan, and Jameson Smith.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Bath and Edith Bath, her husband of 69 years, Theodore Johnson, daughters, Jeraldine Leonard, and Cynthia Johnson.
