Larry Scott Kelley, age 51, of Battlefield passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024. He was born in Amarillo, TX, on December 4, 1972. His parents were Guy T. Kelley and Paula K. (Robertson) Kelley. Larry was united in marriage to Michelle Adams on June 1, 1996.

Larry graduated from Ash Grove High School in 1991. He worked in the right-of-way industry for Southwest Spraying Company for 15+ years. In 2021 he joined the Armor Pest Control team. Larry enjoyed deer hunting, fishing with his father-in-law, and camping at Tucker Hollow on Bull Shoals Lake. He and his wife, Michelle, loved going on vacations to Gulfport, MS. Larry was a loyal sports fan; he followed the Lady Bears basketball team, the Steelers, the Chiefs, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Larry was an energetic DJ with a passion for music that played at graduations, weddings, and many other special events. Larry was a people person and was very outgoing. He was a member at the Gate of the Temple Masonic Lodge in Springfield and was a Scottish Rite Mason. He was a member of the Greeters in the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield.

Larry was graciously gifted a liver and kidney. He continued passing this blessing onto others by being an organ and tissue donor himself.

Larry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Michelle; his mother Paula Kelley; daughter Jessica Lawhon (Wade); son Sergeant Ben Kelley (Katie); grandchildren Lindsey, Hailey, and Taylyn Lawhon; Mia, Sophie, Waylon, Harley, Payton, Logan, and Scarlet Kelley. He also left many siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews behind to honor his memory.

Larry is preceded in death by his father Guy Kelley; grandfather Bill Robertson, and grandmother Clover Warren.

The family is planing a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the Riverdale Baptist Church, Nixa. Flowers may be delivered to Riverdale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mid-America Transplant at: midamericatransplant.org

Cremation rites have been accorded by Adams Crematory, Ozark.  Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
