Keith Herbert Sperry

Keith Herbert Sperry, age 75 of Nixa, Missouri, entered into rest on Monday, December 26, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri.

Keith was born on October 27, 1947, in Springfield, Missouri to the late Billie and Kathryn (Skea) Sperry. He was raised in the Billings area and graduated from Billings High School in 1965. Following high school, Keith joined the United States Navy. He was only 17 years old. He was stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, Keith worked in communications. 

On February 14, 1970, Keith was united in marriage to Sheila White. To this union, two daughters were born, Angela and Kim. Together, Keith and Sheila enjoyed beach trips to Alabama and fishing. They were members of the Greater Kansas City area Dahlia Society. As a team, Keith and Sheila grew the most beautiful dahlias. They won it all at the Missouri State Fair for 7 years, bringing home sweepstakes, best of class and most perfect bloom.  With his daughters, Keith enjoyed drag races and sports. He also enjoyed music and was always up for a political debate. Most of all, Keith loved his family. He adored his wife of 52 years, was devoted to his two daughters, and treasured his three grandchildren.

Keith was preceded by his parents, Billie and Kathryn Sperry. He is survived by his wife Sheila Sperry, daughters Angela Staab and Kim Sperry, grandchildren Luke Patterson, Emily Staab and Ethan Staab, sister Kathryn Ann Sperry, brother Bill Sperry, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Keith was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church of Nixa.  Graveside services will be officiated by Pastor Jamie Bilyeu at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Delaware Cemetery in Nixa, Missouri.
