Karen Kay Beaumont

Karen Kay Beaumont, age 80 of Nixa, passed away on December 12, 2023.  She was born February 19, 1943 in Pharr, Texas, the daughter of Don and Lila Fernan.  She was united in marriage to Ronald Beaumont on December 26, 1962.  Ronald and Karen celebrated 60 fantastic years of marriage together.

Karen was a woman of great strength.  She was an Oncology Registered Nurse for seventeen years and had great value in the work that she did.  She had a personal relationship with the Lord that she treasured.  She loved traveling and taking scenic photos.  Karen and Ronald were able to take some special trips this past year and was able to see the wildflowers in Colorado and visited Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota.  One of their favorite trips was to Hawaii.  She loved planting and growing flowers.

Survivors include: her husband Ronald Beaumont of Nixa; a son Mike (Mindy) Beaumont; a brother Gary Fernan; three grandsons, Josh Shakeshaft, Caleb and Burton Beaumont.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Dona and Lila Fernan; and her daughter Michele Beaumont Shakeshaft.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.  Cremation will be entrusted to Adams Crematory.
