Judy Legate

Judy Leatitia Dillard Legate, age 70, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018. She was born September 8, 1948 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Eugene and Marjorie Dillard. Judy led a full and interesting life. She had many jobs and interests, including nurse assistant in the Army, roofing, road equipment operator, car sales, HVAC sales, dog grooming, insurance, and animal rescue. Judy had a roaming spirit and lived in many different states: Missouri, Alabama, Kansas, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, New Mexico, and possibly others. Survivors include: Daughter, Kim and her husband Steve Kasper; Son, Matt Butler and his wife Teresa; Son, Wes Butler and his wife Carmen; Daughter, Becky and her husband, Donnis Hinz; 7 Grandchildren: Bre Burks, Curtis Kasper, Power Butler, Zander Butler, Haley Butler, Megan Butler, Daniel Butler; and 1 Great-Grandchild, Myles Burks. A military funeral service will be at 3:00pm Friday, October 26 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S Southwood Rd., Springfield, MO.
