Clever

Johnny Dexter Davidson, age 54, of Clever, Missouri, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 27, 1971, to Harley and Ann (Stuart) Davidson.

Johnny attended Monticello High School in Transylvania, Louisiana, where he graduated with the Class of 1989. During high school, he enjoyed playing basketball.

Johnny worked for many years in construction, helping build homes, and also crafted fishing lures for the family business, Wobble Head Lures. Most recently, he served as a caregiver for Peggy Piper while she was on hospice. The two shared a special bond, and Johnny provided her with compassionate care and friendship.

He had a larger-than-life personality and was a natural leader who was always willing to help others. Above all, Johnny loved and cared deeply for his family and always put them first.

Johnny had many interests that brought him joy. He loved computers, reading books, playing video games, and listening to 1970s and 1980s country and pop music. He enjoyed old cartoons, soul food, and Southern fried cooking, and Grandy's Louisiana Restaurant was one of his favorite places to eat. He also adored his cats, especially his beloved upside-down kitty, Max.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Kristy Davidson; his children, Devon Davidson, Warren Davidson, Rachel (Jackie) Vo, and Taryn Davidson; his brother, Billy Davidson; and his grand-Huskies, Sapphire and Rajah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Ann Davidson, and his sister, Libby Davidson.

Johnny will be remembered for his generous heart, his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone in need, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
