John Allen Fordahl

John Allen Fordahl, 53, of Nixa passed away on January 31, 2023.

John was born on March 19, 1969 in Robinsdale, MN. He is the son of Rueben and Kathryn Fordahl; the husband of Rossy Fordahl; and the father of Benjamin Allen Fordahl. John served his country in the U.S. Army.

In the second grade, John gave his heart to the Lord, and at the age of 14, John became fully committed to Him in every way. He was a man of great faith and prayer. He desired to please the Lord in every way and trusted the God he loved to fulfill the plan He had for his life. As he bravely battled lung cancer, the hope God gave him supplied him with much strength and courage.

Some of John’s favorite things were hockey and baseball, he grew up playing them and was a huge fan of both. He loved to watch his son, Benjamin, play as well.

Along with the Lord and his family, John showed his devotion through his love of music. He was a talented singer/songwriter who loved to sing and play the acoustic guitar.

He used his love of music to honor the Lord by playing in a Christian band that travelled to many places spreading the gospel. While in the Dominican Republic, he met and married the love of his life Rossy. They were married on April 5, 2008. John was a loving husband, devoted father, and a gift to all who knew him.

John is preceded in death by his father, Rueben Fordahl; an aunt, Sheila Cloutier; and an uncle, Neil Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Rossy Fordahl of Nixa; his son, Benjamin Fordahl; his mother Kathryn Fordahl of Willard; siblings, Susan Bell, Roger Fordahl, Colleen Norholm, Judy Lutterman, Jeannette Keyso, and Steven Fordahl; an uncle, Larry Clark; brothers and sisters in law, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 3 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, February 4 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Willard following the Funeral Service.
