Joanna Maria Jordan, born alongside her cherished twin brother Robert on October 12, 2006, in Tucson, Arizona, lived a life marked by vibrant creativity and warmth. From her earliest days, Joanna’s spirit shone brightly, a luminous presence to all who knew her.

A 2025 graduate of Nixa High School, Joanna blossomed as a deeply talented artist, her gifts recognized through several awards celebrating her unique vision. She carried her passion for art with her to the Rhode Island School of Design, where she was a freshman, embarking on a promising journey to shape the world through her creativity.

Beyond her art, Joanna delighted in the simple joys that colored her days—thriving in the treasures found through thrifting, losing herself in the rhythm of music concerts, and cherishing moments with dear friends. In Joanna’s own words, “I gravitate towards people who give me inspiration.” And inspire they did. Her artistic and personal style was unique, courageous, and exceptional. Nothing Joanna did was mediocre. She was ambitious, brave and intolerant of discrimination. May we all continue on her path of acceptance.

Joanna’s loving heart extended to her beloved companions: her cat, Gourd, and her frog, Bug, who were constant sources of comfort and joy. Though passed away on April 1, 2026, in Florence, Italy, her essence remains vividly alive in the memories and hearts of those who loved her.

Joanna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Manning, Virgil Jordan, and Mary Jordan, whose legacies she carried gracefully.

She leaves behind her devoted parents, Theodor Jordan and Jo Ellen Feugate; her twin brother Robert; siblings Tommy and Libby Jordan; grandparents Julia Taylor, Robert Feugate, and Alisa Feugate; as well as aunts, uncles, and countless beloved relatives and friends who mourn her loss and celebrate her life.

Joanna’s journey may have been brief, but her impact is enduring—a testament to a soul filled with artistry, kindness, and an indomitable love for life.

Funeral arrangements will be shared in the near future as all who knew Joanna come together to honor and remember a remarkable young woman whose light will forever inspire.
