Joan Hillier

Joan Hillier, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed into the presence of the Lord on May 23, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on June 24, 1939, Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Myrl Roberts. Joan lived a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion to her family and friends.

Joan was mother to her three children: Mark Hillier (Barbra), Terry Hillier (Liz), and Linda Smith (Jeff). She is survived by them, as well as her loving sister, Vera Collins, and brother-in-law, William. Joan was a proud grandmother to seven and a joyful great-grandmother to twenty each of whom brought light and happiness to her life.

Joan was preceded in death by Billy Voshage, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Her best friend, Letha Johnson, remained a constant source of laughter and companionship throughout the years.

A true fan through and through, Joan was an avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals. Cheering from her favorite chair, her passion for baseball—especially her Cardinals-was unmatched and a source of great enjoyment.

Joan's legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the memories she created with those who loved her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Private services will be held at Stockton Cemetery on June 2. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to [Charity or Cause, if any], in Joan's memory.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory, and arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark
