Jerry Allen Wright

Jerry Allen Wright, age 74, of Nixa passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He was born July 22, 1946 in Nevada, Missouri to Elmer and Mildred (Tucker) Wright. Jerry married Linda Plott March 19, 1971. Jerry’s family moved to Springfield when he was a small child. He played varsity football all through high school and graduated in 1964. Jerry went to work in the auto parts industry and retired in 2016 after 50 years in the business. Jerry enjoyed family time, playing card games, hunting, fishing and target shooting. He reloaded his own ammunition as well. Jerry loved western movies especially John Wayne films. Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda, of 49 years; a daughter Becky Richardson, her husband Ryan of Nixa; brother-in-law Jerry Plott of Springfield; daughter Shelli Ferwalt, husband Rick of Ash Grove; and a son Michael Arnall, his wife Julie of Ozark; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
