Jerry Wilson was born and raised in Cherryvale Kansas to Lee and Arleetia Wilson. He was the oldest of three sons. He grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and graduated from Cherryvale High School, Independence Junior College and Pittsburg State University. Upon graduation, Jerry went to Hannibal Missouri to teach woodworking and industrial arts in The Junior High School. There he met and then on August 20, 1960 married the love of his life Beverly Dryden.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years three children, Lani Alton, Pete Wilson (Laurie) and Scot Wilson (Shelly). Two grandsons, Curtis Wilson, Justin Wilson (Chelsea) one great granddaughter Tinley Wilson. Brother John Wilson (Mary), nephew Devon Wilson (Stephanie) and their children many cousins and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Wilson and one great granddaughter Reese Harper Wilson. When moving back to Kansas, he owned and operated the Ringstaff lumber company plus being involved in many activities and organizations around the area. He preached at Mount Zion and Hazeldell Baptist churches Jerry was 88 years old when he went to be with the Lord. At his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home Ozark and cremation rites will be accorded to Adams Crematory.
