It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jerry Lynn Lipe Michael, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who died on June 12, 2026 in Springfield, Missouri.
Jerry was born on February 26, 1949 in Anderson, Missouri. She graduated from McDonald County High School in 1967. She went on to marry Richard Michael on September 3, 1971. They were blessed with almost 55 years together. Jerry built a life full of love, family, and faith.
Jerry was always willing to help whoever needed anything, and she gave generously through acts of service for her community, church, and her family. We will never forget the heart she had for others, her incredible love for her children, and her grandchildren. She made every person she encountered feel heard, cared for, and important. Her home was a place where all were welcome. Jerry always knew just what to say when you needed to hear it.
Survivors include: her husband, Richard Michael; her children and their spouses Mara and Doug Jordan, Richard and Shannon Friend, Susan and Bill Quick, Mindy and Andre Sims, Jennifer and Shawn Oliver; her grandchildren, Caity and James Klinefelter, Payton Friend, Cameron Friend, Rilee Jordan, Wyatt Jordan, Savannah and Michael Smith, Dalton Quick, Bella Quick, Alex Wentz, Jackson Wentz, Noah Oliver, Jacob Oliver, Joshua Oliver, Amelia Oliver, Kole Oliver, and Brooklyn Oliver, Tracy and Austin Alcorn, Brooklyn Kearbey, Ryan Alcorn, Athena Alcorn, and Colby Alcorn; her great grandchildren, Ralph Smith, Clementine Smith, and Riggin Fletcher; and the many others lucky enough to be loved by her; Jerry also leaves behind her sisters and their spouses, Joan & Nolan Roberts, Norma & Keith Lindquist, Ronda & Wayne Holly, and Janice Ciomperlik.
Jerry was preceded in death by her father and mother, Norman and Alma Lipe; and her sister, Sandra Breslow.
She was like a mother to many, including Ricardo Oliveira, Araceli Rios and Christina Drybread, and many more. To list everyone who will feel her absence would be impossible.
