Jerry D. Clines, age 85 of Nixa died February 7, 2024. He was born December 10, 1938 on a farm in Ponce de Leon, the son of Emery and Ella (Cutbirth) Clines. He was the youngest of four children.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two grandchildren, Brittany and Benjamin Clines.
He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Joyce (Gaddy) Clines; his son, Michael Clines and wife Tonya of Republic; his daughter, Angela Patrick and husband Mark of Nixa; his grandchildren, Brady and Abigail Ghan, Bailey Ghan, Jeanette and Bobor Jones, Wilson Patrick and Gregory and Andrea Kimberling; and a great granddaughter, Margaret (Margo) Ghan.
After high school Jerry joined the U.S. Army where he served in the fourth armored division. He was proud of his service to his country and his time spent in Germany. He also was proud of his career as a diesel mechanic at Jenkins Diesel where he retired after more than 25 years.
He was a man of many talents, and was happy to help anyone. He was a fierce protector of his family and loved us all unconditionally.
Our hearts are broken, but now he is with the Lord and free of earthly pain.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 12, 2024 at Wade Chapel Cemetery, Republic, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Larry Winfree officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
