Jerry Ray Buckmaster

Jerry Ray Buckmaster, age 80, of Clever, passed away February 26, 2023.  He was born November 29, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of James Edward Buckmaster and Sylvia Buckmaster Riley.  Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army. 

He worked in construction as a bridge builder, owned a pawn shop, and managed taverns during his working career. Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor, and was always willing to help others in need, including strangers.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Sylvia and Carl Riley, his father James Buckmaster, brothers Danny Buckmaster and Jimmy Buckmaster, and sister, Ruby Hanafin.

Survivors include: Two sons, Michael Buckmaster and Stephen Buckmaster; grandchildren, Alex, Adam, and Elijah Buckmaster; a former wife, Bonnie Sissell; nieces and nephews.

Cremation is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, and Adams Crematory.  A graveside service will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery with military honors at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2023.
